It is always safest to stay away from windows and metal objects during a lightning storm. **

Yes, metal struts are important for an Ikea bed as they provide support and stability to the bed frame. The metal struts help distribute the weight of the mattress and the person sleeping on it, preventing the bed frame from sagging or breaking. Without the metal struts, the bed may not be able to support the weight properly and could potentially become damaged or unsafe to use. Therefore, it is important to ensure that the metal struts are properly installed and in good condition for the bed to function as intended. **
