First, we convert 311 kN to kilowatts by using the formula: power (kW) = force (kN) × velocity (m/s). Then, we convert kilowatts to horsepower by using the conversion factor. As for 70,000 lbs, we can convert it to horsepower using the formula: horsepower = (force (lbs) × velocity (ft/min)) / 375.
